Premiers propose an alternative solution on missing and murdered aboriginal women

I mentioned in a post earlier today that federal NDP leader, Tom Mulcair said that an NDP government would convene a national inquiry into missing and murdered aboriginal women within the administrations first 100 days.

Another big story from today is that Canada’s Premiers, along with native leaders have met and proposed their own idea.  A joint federal-provincial forum.  It’s worth mentioning that many of the Premier’s at today’s meeting said that a forum is not an ideal solution, and that a national inquiry would be better suited.

I personally did get a kick though, and 100% agree with what the Premier of Prince Edward Island said.  To paraphrase: If this Prime Minister won’t call a national inquiry, then we need to replace him with one who will.
